As a BTech student, I was challenged to solve a problem with the use of fashion. This lead me to designing a range of ladies commuter wear. So why is this solving a problem? With the trend of cycling to work or any destination growing daily, various fashion brands, such as Levi's, have taken the initiative and designed a commuter range for men. This is a great way to build more awareness around commuting by bicycle and also serves as encouragement to man to commute this way more. But what about the ladies? Women also commute by bicycle but nothing has been design to make ther ride more comfortable. This is were I come in. My commuter range is being designed to make the ride more comfortable for ladies, encourage them to ride more, which will lead to a healthier liefstyle and bike by bike, help save the enviroment, all this whilst looking fashionable and ready to take on the day.
So far I am still in the development stage of my proposal but I will soon start designing and making up the range. The process is long but effective, so as it progresses I will keep yuo updated. I hope that this short piece has awaken an excitement inside of you, I know I am excited.
